The Nevada Hospitality Foundation (NHF) is a not for profit [501(C)) 3] organization. This charitable Foundation is dedicated to serving the educational, research, and philanthropic needs of the Nevada's hospitality industry through the oversight of various programs.

The foundation cultivates new sources of talent for the hospitality industry by implementing a statewide educational system in partnership with industry, the state educational institutions and government agencies to meet the workforce needs of the restaurant and hotel industries of Nevada. The ProStart Culinary programs are taken as high school elective classes and result in a national certificate with scholarship opportunities and articulation credits at over 200 colleges nationwide. In addition, students participate in a paid mentored internship program with industry.

The foundation sponsors professional development opportunities for teachers through seminars, best practices chat groups, certificate programs, and summer institutes throughout the nation. The Chef Mentor program offers hands-on industry support for teachers in the classroom.

Nevada currently has 27 programs in Clark, Lincoln, Nye, Carson, and Washoe county school districts. The curriculums meet the state standards for culinary arts. Articulation agreements for advanced credit placement/class waiver have been established with major colleges and universities nationwide including University of Nevada, Cornell University, Johnson & Wales, The Arts Institutes International, Culinary Institutes of America, Kendall College, and California State Polytechnic University.

Sponsorship opportunities are available through the foundation for companies who want to impact the future of the industry by providing internships, sponsoring a school/educational workshop, speaking at schools, and seminars, or providing financial support for the foundation's activities.

Through the Foundation's Scholarship Program, financial assistance is provided for selected secondary and post-secondary students who wish to pursue an education in hospitality. Over $250,000 in scholarship monies has been awarded in recent years.
